RESTORATIVE REPRODUCTIVE

MEDICINE (RRM)

Care that cooperates with your body

A fundamental part of RRM is the use of fertility awareness-based methods (FABMs) that track female cycle biomarkers (e.g., cervical fluid, basal body temperature, vaginal bleeding, and hormones) to evaluate and support reproductive health and function.

Many conventional ob/gyn treatments can suppress or thwart a woman’s reproductive function. Couples suffering from infertility

or subfertility are referred to reproductive technologies, such as IVF, that do not restore health, but instead substitute for

natural conception.

Our approach to care aims to support and optimize the natural function of a woman’s body as much as possible—to cooperate with her reproductive cycle. We teach women how to recognize and work with their underlying biology, and we use this information to help diagnose and treat health problems, restoring normal function whenever possible. The patient becomes an important member of her own care team, and care is personalized just for her.

Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) is any scientific approach to reproductive medicine that seeks to cooperate with or restore the normal physiology and anatomy of the human reproductive system, for the purposes of natural fertility and reproductive health.

What is restorative reproductive medicine?

How is our restorative reproductive medicine approach different?

“This is about understanding what the human body is designed

to do. It’s about understanding what’s really healthy,
and when things aren’t healthy, how to get back
to a normal, healthy physiology.”

Professor of Family & Preventive Medicine,
Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Pediatrics; The University of Utah

Conditions for which RRM may be helpful include:

been trying to conceive for years

suffered multiple miscarriages

been told they are "too old"

been told they have low ovarian reserve

been told they have low sperm count

previously failed with IUI/IVF

been diagnosed as high-risk

nearly given up hope

RRM is an excellent option for women/couples who:

hope to gain knowledge about
the design and function of their bodies

want both members of the couple to
participate together in family planning

seek a minimally-invasive approach
to reproductive healthcare

hold cultural, religious, or personal convictions

about methods for avoiding pregnancy or

for treating infertility

are looking for more affordable

medical interventions

EXPERT RESTORATIVE MEDICINE FOR INFERTILITY AND RECURRENT MISCARRIAGE

THE PROGRAM

Our program delivers expert customized and collaborative care provided by clinicians specifically trained in Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM)—physicians, nurse practitioners, certified midwives, fertility case managers, fertility educators,

and health coaches.

THE SCIENCE

RRM systematically evaluates more than 55 factors (female + male) to identify the underlying causes of infertility, diagnose what is wrong, treat what is wrong, and optimize health for natural conception and a healthy pregnancy.

THE RESULTS

Compared to IVF, medical literature reveals that RRM has comparable effectiveness, even outperforming IVF

at one cycle; is more affordable;

is less invasive with no side effects;

and delivers better outcomes for

both moms and babies.
