Advancing restorative reproductive medicine

Development of Reply Ob/Gyn & Fertility began in 2013 with discussions between Dr. John Thorp, a division director in the University of North Carolina’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and KNDR HealthCare. The discussions were inspired by the sabbatical visit to UNC of Dr. Joseph Stanford, then Director of the University of Utah’s Office of Cooperative Reproductive Health, a board member of the International Institute for Restorative Reproductive Medicine (IIRRM), and a leading global advocate for restorative reproductive medicine. Development shortly was under way for a new clinic and new program of medical research focused on fertility awareness and the restorative approaches to reproductive healthcare.

Our development included:

a visit to retired Swedish ob/gyn and medical researcher Dr. Erik Odeblad, the early pioneer and champion of fertility awareness who made original discoveries about the properties of cervical fluid. Dr. Odeblad’s discoveries paved the way for more sophisticated methods of family planning and integration of women’s cycle biomarkers into clinical care.
