Kimberly A. Barrows, MD


RRM Clinician

Dr. Kimberly Barrows is a board-certified family medicine physician with 25 years of experience treating all ages and stages of life. She is frequently sought out as a clinician experienced in restorative reproductive medicine, including by couples facing infertility or recurrent miscarriage. She also specializes in helping female patients understand and optimize their natural cycle, and sees them from teenage years to menopause for cycle and reproductive issues including polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and insulin resistance, endometriosis, poor ovulation, PMS, postpartum depression, and irregular or heavy cycles. She is a popular speaker on topics related to the female reproductive system and restorative reproductive medicine.

Dr. Barrows earned her medical degree from The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (Medical College of Ohio) in 1999, and completed her residency in family medicine at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia, in 2002. She has lived in many different states as a military wife, enabling her to practice in diverse settings including pediatrics, urgent care, family medicine, and women’s health. Dr. Barrows has completed medical consultant training in NaProTechnology with Saint Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction as well as training in FEMM medical management. She is proficient in interpreting fertility awareness-based methods--including Creighton model, Marquette, Symptothermal and others—for natural family planning and RRM medical management.

Dr. Barrows and her husband have five children and live near Grand Rapids, Michigan. She enjoys singing with the Gaudete choral ensemble.
